About Tamara

Tamara Throssell is a Family Coach and Mediator offering practical "family solutions." Since 2006 Tamara has been facilitating creative strategies to help others better manage life challenges and transitions. She is a skilled practitioner, who understands the importance of informed decision- making. She supports client's as they shift and move into new life roles.

Tamara's practice is built on her diverse training in coaching, mediation and education. She is a certified BC Provincial Instructor, completing her degree in Adult Education. As a certified Life Coach and Life Skills Instructor, Tamara has years of experience facilitating client's successful goal achievement in many life areas. She has specialized training and experience in youth issues, substance use and family violence.

Tamara is a nationally Certified Comprehensive Family Mediator. (Family Mediation Canada) She received a Certificate in Conflict Resolution: Family Mediation through the Justice Institute of British Columbia Her clinical field training was completed with Mediate BC Tamara is a contracted Certified Smartsettle Facilitator, providing face-face and online eNegotiation services for family disputes. She is a member of the BC Family Mediation Roster.

Tamara is a passionate family advocate and educator, who respects families in all their diversity. She has worked with individuals, teens and families, 1:1 and in community, school and business organizations.

Tamara visited my Grade 8 Health & Career Planning class to do a workshop on self esteem. This is a challenging age group to engage, but the kids were totally glued to her! Tamara's outgoing personality and sense of humour really helped her connect with the students, allowing them to get a lot out of the workshop. It was fun, informative and interactive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tamara to other teachers and will definitely be asking her back next year!!
